An afternoon at Bisetti’s

Bisetti’s was recommended to me a while back by a trusted fellow nosher; he said that the food was good, the portions large and the price reasonable. And so it was that on a gorgeous fall afternoon, this reporter and a handful of family members selected this sweet Italian place as our lunchtime noshery.

Bisetti’s lives in the heart of Old Town, nestled between Subway and Kilwin’s, and it has an atmosphere that welcomes you before you even get in the building. Sinatra can be heard under Bisetti’s maroon awning, and the warm lights from inside are evoke an ideal “date night” kind of feel.

Of course, the interior of Bisetti’s is even better, and as far as the food goes I am pleased to report that my trusted nosher friend was correct! My company enjoyed everything they got; my side of the table indulged in manicotti and lasagna while the other side enjoyed basil chicken over beds of vegetables, and the waitress was very accommodating of our nosher who has a lot of dietary restrictions. All in all noshers, you have something to look forward to at Bisetti’s!

Oh, and noshers, when you go there and they bring you your bread, don’t freak out about the green leafy stuff mixed in with the butter. It’s basil butter, and it is awesome!
